Information FeedFold uses
FeedFold’s Safari Web Extension reads YouTube subscription and feed page data while you use YouTube in Safari. This can include channel names and identifiers, video titles, video links, and visible information needed to filter feed cards. FeedFold uses this information to show the groups and filters you choose.
Group names, channel assignments, title keywords, and locally cached feed details are stored in Safari’s extension storage on your Mac. FeedFold does not create a FeedFold account or send these settings to a server operated by the publisher. FeedFold does not use Google OAuth or the YouTube Data API.
To identify some videos published by more than one channel, the extension requests the channel’s YouTube video page using Safari’s current YouTube session where available, then reads the page data locally. FeedFold does not read your password or Google sign-in credentials, and it does not download or copy video files. YouTube receives and processes these page requests under its own terms and privacy policy. The publisher does not receive the requests or page data.
Purchases
The macOS app uses Apple StoreKit to offer a free 30-day trial and a one-time lifetime unlock. Apple processes App Store transactions under Apple’s privacy terms. The publisher does not receive your payment card or Apple Account credentials. FeedFold checks Apple-verified StoreKit transactions to determine whether the local trial or lifetime access is active.
Sharing, analytics, and advertising
FeedFold does not include publisher-operated analytics, advertising, or a publisher server that receives your groups, keywords, or YouTube page data. The publisher does not sell this information.
Retention and deletion
Group names, channel assignments, keywords, imported subscription details, and cached video details remain in Safari’s extension storage on your Mac until you clear them. Use Clear all local data in Group Manager to remove them. FeedFold keeps only a small local status marker that the list was cleared, so it will not automatically import subscriptions again; this marker contains no channel names or video details. Clearing does not change your YouTube subscriptions or Apple purchases. The publisher cannot access or remotely delete this local data because it is never sent to the publisher. FeedFold does not retain a server-side copy of these settings or caches.
Children
FeedFold is a general-purpose subscription organizer and is not designed to collect personal information from children.
Changes and contact
The publisher may update this policy if the app’s data practices change. The current policy will be available at https://feedfold.pages.dev/privacy and on FeedFold’s App Store product page. For privacy questions, contact david.zsigo@gmail.com.
